RELEASE: Texas Lt. Governor Candidate Mike Collier Raises $1.3M in Campaign to Defeat Dan Patrick
Building Momentum, Collier Establishes Distance From Democratic Field
AUSTIN, TX –Fundraising reports filed with the Texas Ethics Commission this week reveal Mike Collier well outpacing the Democratic primary field. This comes on the heels of endorsements from Texas State Representatives John Bucy and James Talarico and public polling showing Collier as the clear front runner for the nomination.
Deputy Campaign Manager Ali S. Zaidi issued the following statement:
“With less than 100 days until the primary election, Mike Collier is the clear frontrunner, having raised nearly $1.3 million to-date—nearly $1 million ahead of his primary opponents. With 97% of his nearly 14,000 contributions coming from individual Texans, Mike’s candidacy to date shows that he connects with voters on the ground and stands ready to bring the fight to Dan Patrick in 2022.
Combined with strong fundraising, Mike’s understanding of core Texas issues—like fixing the damn grid—make him the best positioned candidate to resonate with voters across Texas who no longer trust Dan Patrick.”
